2017 TABO Scholarship Classic

This past weekend, high school basketball teams from across East Texas met for spirit-filled competition in the Whitehouse High School Gymnasium for the 21st annual Tyler Area Basketball Officials Scholarship Classic. This year, TABO partnered with Jasper Ventures, Inc. to continue this East Texas holiday tradition. In the last 20 years, the Tyler chapter has given over $164,000 in college scholarships to local student athletes; 12 students athletes were awarded scholarships this year. Our team of Jasper Ventures volunteers manned the concession stand as basketball teams from Bullard, Canton, Chapel Hill, Jacksonville, Lindale, Longview, Mabank, Spring Hill, Troup, Tyler, West Rusk, and Whitehouse battled for bragging rights over their neighboring schools.
